Kofi Awanoor's realization of the need to have been more tender and sensitive to his daughter's needs in her crucial growing up years and the torment he faces thereof is by itself a siren to all of us to wake up to our surroundings and play our part, not in silence, but in a way we can be heard. This support can be extended to other members of the family -the aging parents, indifferent spouses, uncaring siblings and innocent children. We should play our role without making place for regrets in later life...JShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09244361436495906707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2610150272123990780.post-65429301864668788242013-09-24T22:22:23.027-07:002013-09-24T22:22:23.027-07:00Thanks PGR for sharing. It again proves that a moth...Thanks PGR for sharing. It again proves that a mother's love is expressive while a father's love is like a beautiful silk thread hidden in a long piece of cloth.
Mangalamangalahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02684900821759083507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2610150272123990780.post-24354913324465547972013-09-24T16:57:34.727-07:002013-09-24T16:57:34.727-07:00Dear chetta,

Thank you very much for sharing this.
These are feelings most of us go through as fathers which the poet has so expressed so artistically. We raise our children by being tough though the same hurts us, so that we can instill values and character in them. But as we grow old, we feel a sense of remorse and wish we could have been more expressive of our love and tenderness!!
It is sad that the life of such a great man was snubbed out in the senseless violence by the terrorists in Kenya.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03188725434811560592noreply@blogger.com
